Career Coaching

Your career is a massive part of your life and your future. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a thought partner who has been through it all, has your back, and has mentored hundreds in accelerating their careers? Please schedule some time with me below to start your career acceleration journey.

What is career coaching?

Career coaching is about accelerating your career within your current company or exploring external opportunities. It is about objectively assessing your current situation, holistically defining what you want from your future life, and building a compelling and achievable path to realize your future. It is a wise investment to get a coach who is a good fit, has the experience to help clarify your vision, and will support you in crafting the strategies and plans to get you there.

What is your process for career coaching?

The first thing we do is ask the hard questions about how you want to architect your holistic life and what career paths are right for you. It starts with your values, your strengths, weaknesses, passions, what you find enjoyment and energy in, goals, and experience. Then, we tackle potential career paths and prioritize which one(s) make sense against your criteria.

The next step is creating an action plan to work on the necessary things to realize your potential. This phase can go many ways. Suppose you want to accelerate your career within your current company. In that case, your plan involves better positioning and performance in your current role, career ladder planning, presence, communication, advocating for yourself, finding the right mentors and advocates, etc. Exploring external opportunities could be about finding the right roles and target companies, a resume and LinkedIn refresh, outreach planning, interview coaching, and much more.

It is totally up to you how much we cover. Some career coaching clients do 1 or 2 sessions to get them going in the right direction, while I’ve coached others over months to support them through a complete career change.

Who do you support with career coaching?

The majority of my career coaching is with three types of professionals. First, management professionals who want to accelerate to the executive level are looking for an objective coach with a lot of personal and mentoring experience getting to the C-suite. Second, professionals who want to make a change in their role, industry, or company and are looking for support to develop a clear vision and plan that excites them. The third type of professional currently works in or wants to break into management consulting. I support consultants who wish to accelerate to partner and aspiring consultants who want the tips and tricks to landing that job in a top firm (I received offers from BCG, Bain, and McKinsey, so I know this process well).

What is your background for career coaching?

I’ve mentored and coached hundreds of professionals in their careers. I spent 7+ years in management consulting firms, five years at McKinsey & Company, and two years at Oliver Wyman. I’ve been the COO of GoalZero, the 9th fastest growing company at the time, head of store operations and marketing at an 18,000-employee retailer, CFO of a successful startup, and the founder of and of course I have a unique combination of deep management consulting experience with practical executive experience in a myriad of roles and a variety of industries and companies. You can see more of my background and testimonials here. I also have an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, where I graduated top 5 of my class, and a BS in Science, Technology & Society with an emphasis in Computer Science from Stanford University, where I graduated top 10% of my class.

How do we get started with career coaching?

If you are looking for fresh and pragmatic ideas for your career, set up some time below, and we’ll get started immediately. I’ll refund your money if you don’t find value in your first session. If the below schedule doesn’t work, reach out to me at, and we’ll find a time that works for both of us.

Are career coaching sessions confidential?

Of course. I am bound to this confidentiality agreement with every paying client.

How do clients pay for services?

I try to make everything simple for my clients. I have a pay-as-you-go model. I don’t believe in contractual arrangements that “lock-in” my clients. Most coaching clients initially pay by credit card through the scheduling tool and then move to purchasing however many blocks of hours they want by credit card at the bottom of my coaching page. For larger clients, we typically do monthly invoices.
